In accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (hereinafter referred to as “the Law”), Regnum Christi International Universities (hereinafter referred to as “RIU”), a collaborative organization that brings together higher education institutions belonging to Regnum Christi, operated by Asesoría Educativa, S.C., establishes this Privacy Notice in accordance with the following:

Terms and Conditions

1. This Privacy Notice aims to protect the personal data of members of the university communities (applicants, students, graduates, management staff, teaching staff, and administrative staff) through its legitimate, controlled, and informed treatment, in order to guarantee their privacy, as well as your right to informational self-determination.

2. “Personal Data” refers to any information concerning an identified or identifiable individual. The responsibility of collecting it, for the appropriate purposes, lies with any area of RIU.

3. The address of RIU is the same as that of Asesoría Educativa, S.C.

4. By providing your Personal Data in writing, through a request, paper format, digital format, email, or any other document, you accept and authorize RIU to use and process your personal data and information provided, which will become part of our database with the purpose of using them, in an enunciative but not limited way, to: identify, locate, communicate, contact, send you information and/or goods, as well as to send and/or transfer them to third parties, within and outside the national territory, by any means permitted by law to fulfill our social purposes.

5. The duration of the handling of your Personal Data will be indefinite from the date you provide them, and you may oppose the handling of them at any time you consider appropriate, with the limitations of the Law; in case your request for opposition is appropriate, RIU will stop handling your Personal Data without any responsibility on our part.

6. The area of RIU responsible for processing your personal data is obliged to comply with the principles of legality, consent, information, quality, purpose, loyalty, proportionality, and responsibility safeguarded in the Law; therefore, based on articles 13 and 14 of the Law, RIU commits to keep strict confidentiality of your personal data, as well as to maintain the administrative, technical, and physical security measures that allow protecting them against any damage, loss, alteration, access or unauthorized treatment.

7. In terms of what is established by article 22 of the Law, you have the right at any time to exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition to the processing of your personal data, through a request via email addressed to Mtro. Santiago García Huerdo (santiago.garciahu@riueducation.org), a request that must contain the requirements marked by the Law.

8. RIU will occasionally modify and correct this Privacy Notice, therefore we ask you to regularly review this notice on the website www.riueducation.org

9. RIU will protect your Personal Data in the terms of the Law, and will communicate the elements contained in the fractions of article 16 of the Law.

10. Providing your personal data is an act that presumes your total acceptance of the content of this Privacy Notice. However, we ask you to accept the terms and conditions of the use of your data.
